Dave Rushton launched Tarnend in 2016 to provide independent help for companies with electronic, electrical and other engineering projects. He has an honours degree in electrical and electronic engineering, is a member of the Institute of Engineering and Technology and has been a Chartered Engineer since 2006.
Dave’s engineering career spans 30 years in practical roles as well as technical, project and senior management positions up to director level. Now based in Cumbria, he previously had 18 years in Manchester with stints in Stockholm and Detroit. During this time, he has gained experience of electronics design, manufacturing, customer support, electrical contracting and high Voltage operations and maintenance in automotive, transport, industrial and renewable energy sectors.
Dave combines a strong technical understanding with a pragmatic approach to moving projects forward making best use of available resources. He has a strong network of industry associates to call on and collaborate with and holds himself to very high standards of value and ethics. Dave will always strive to maximise your efficiency without compromising your responsibilities, particularly with regards to safety. He has IOSH Managing Safely and Scottish Power High Voltage System Operations training and maintains a current CCNSG Safety Passport and Emergency First Aid at Work.
